On the week-end, Prime Minister, Dr. the Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell, hailed the work of frontline workers and volunteers engaged in the fight against the coronavirus.
He noted that he had a chance to chat briefly with some of the volunteers who have been giving freely of their time again to bolster the efforts of community health teams at the forefront of the testing and vaccination drive across the country.
In his words, he noted “I can’t say enough how grateful we are for the support being given to the Government and people of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique. Getting through the COVID-19 pandemic requires a national effort and I am deeply appreciative of all the contributions being made. Thank you to all and be safe everyone.”
As Minister for National Security, Prime Minister Mitchell saluted members of the Royal Grenada Police Force for their unwavering dedication to the safety and security of the country.
This, despite the tremendous impact COVID-19 has had on the RGPF.
He thanked the officers for continuing to execute their duties without fail.
