PRIME MINISTER MITCHELL ALSO HOLDS BI-LATERAL WITH UAE FOREIGN MINISTER

On the fringes of the Conference, the Grenadian leader met and held talks with the United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister’s Envoy to the Caribbean, Omar Shehadeh.

The UAE pledged to support Grenada in several critical areas, including renewable energy, energy transition, the proposed state-of-the-art teachinghospital and other key development initiatives.

Recognizing the importance of advanced healthcare facilities, the UAE has committed to providing significant technical support for the development of a new teaching hospital in Grenada, aiming to improve healthcare services and medical education within theregion.

In alignment with the national priorities as articulated by Prime Minister Mitchell, the UAE has reportedly agreed to assist with various other projects identified as key to Grenada’s socio-economic development.

Omar Shehadeh says the UAE is honored to partner with Grenada in these critical areas and believe their joint efforts will yield significant benefits for the people of Grenada, promoting sustainable development and enhancing quality of life.
