Still keeping a close eye on developments in neighboring St. Vincent where there was another eruption this morning, this time one which contained Pyroclastic materials.
The National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) in the neighbouring territory, has reported that at approximately 4:15 this morning the dome at La Soufriere collapsed.
According to the Seismologist, Professor Richard Robertson, there were pyroclastic flows along the valleys on the eastern and western coasts of the island, a result of the latest explosion.
Professor Robertson says there’s Satellite evidence to show that the old and new domes are now completely destroyed.
