There are reports of two road fatalities already for the New Year.
On New Year’s Day we learnt of an accident in the area of Marli, St. Patrick, where 40-year-old Rodicar Henry lost her life.
It’s understood that the vehicle in which she was travelling ran off the road, hitting a wall in the process.
All in the vehicle, driver and passengers were admitted to hospital with serious injuries.
Rodicar was later pronounced dead.
Yesterday, in another fatal accident, we understand that a vehicle ran off the road in the Limes area in Grand Anse, while in the process of reversing down a steep hill.
The driver is said to have lost control knocking down a 77- year-old woman, Violet Joseph, in the process.
She was subsequently pronounced dead.
Police are continuing investigations.
