The ministry of health has received a shot in the arm, with a donation of some “Eighty-Seven thousand dollars” from Republic Bank’s “Power to Make a Difference investment programme.”
This is in keeping with the banks initiative to safeguard the nation against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The funds were handed over to Health Minister, Nickolas Steele from the Managing Director, of the bank Naomi De Allie.
The donation will assist the Ministry with its public education and awareness campaign, as the country continues in its efforts to reduce the impact of the pandemic on the health and economic systems.
In May 2020, Republic Bank contributed medical supplies valued at EC$108,594 dollars to assist the Ministry with relief efforts during the height of the pandemic.
Responding to the gesture, Health Minister Nickolas Steele thanked the Bank for its timely contribution, and commended the Bank for its consistent and valuable support, in various areas of need.
