Residents in the hamlet of Munich in St. Andrew, are now guaranteed a steady flow of the greatest commodity on earth, water.
A supply facility in the area was made possible by NAWASA, through funding from the Basic Needs Trust Fund.
The facility, a water treatment plant in the area, was constructed to facilitate what’s now will be a constant supply.
The MP for the area, Yolande Bain-Horsford, says it was the tenacity of the residents who complained overtime for the precious commodity through their taps.
She says after several moments of harassing NAWASA, the Company has fulfilled its promise and she’s thankful.
Bain-Horsford also advised the residents to use the water wisely.
Nawasa’s Acting Manager of the Production and Quality Department, Kingsley Alexander, a resident of the area, says he’s elated over the project that today Munich can boast of having the best water supply.
