Improving the relationship between the Media fraternity and the Royal Grenada Police Force was the focus of an engagement between the two parties today.

Senior members of both parties convened after the media aired some concerns publicly on issues affecting their operations.

The police described the media as a partner in crime prevention and public education and appeals for understanding as it relates to the release of information.

Assistant Superintended of Police Simon Douglas speaking at the engagement today, disputes the notion that there’s unwillingness from the RGPF to speak to members of the media.

MWAG executive expressed willingness to uphold their responsibility in reporting factual information and seeking confirmation from the police.
