THE “POLICE AND THE public can never be separated”!

That’s the view of the RGPF’s Assistant Superintendent Richards responsible for heading operations around the Western Division.

Addressing a community forum in the area recently, ASP Richards encouraged residents to see collaboration with the RGPF as a means to enhancing peace and tranquility.

He’s of the view that working together with the police brings about a better relationship generating a much better community spirit.

ASP Richards believes the real police are residents in their respective communities.

ASP Richards sees the community forum between residents and the police as a very rewarding exercise that can help curb crime.

Among other things, truancy seems to be a burning problem in the district and ASP Richards noted concern for the welfare of youth.
