The Royal Grenada Police Force says measures are in place to execute a safe incident-free inter-secondary school championships on April 7th.

Head of the community relations department ASP Desmond Richards explained to stakeholders at the recent launch of the games, that the force will focus heavily on curbing youth violence and loitering that has been an issue for years during and after the event.  

He said officers has been analyzing ways to address the issue of youth violence, as a result police officers will be deployed at the kirani James athletics stadium and Frequent searches will be conducted on students and adults entering the stadium.     

ASP Richards also highlighted plans to minimize traffic congestion in the river road area.
