In a police report, we hear that the men who have been charged in connection with Robbery with Violence January 29 appeared at the Gouyave Magistrate’s Court Wednesday and while some were granted bail, one was confined to her Majesty’s Prison.
Marlon Lewis, a Fisherman of Upper Depradine Street, Gouyave, Carvin Bernard and Kendell Martin, Fishermen of Edward Street, Gouyave, St. John were arrested for the Robbery with Violence of a citizen of the United Kingdom.
The individual, it’s been reported, was attacked, beaten and robbed of his personal belongings.
Carvin Bernard was also charged for the offense of Throwing Missiles…also Kellon Ashton and Rolland Henry, both Fishermen, of Upper Depradine Street, Gouyave, St. John.
Martin, Lewis, Ashton and Henry were granted bail in the sum of seven thousand, five hundred dollars, with one surety each.
As part of their bail conditions, they are to report to the Gouyave Police Station every Monday and Friday between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
They were also placed on a daily curfew from 6 in the evening to 6 in the morning, until the conclusion of the matters.
They are not to leave the state without permission of the court and are scheduled to reappear in court Thursday 14th April, 2022.
Carvin Bernard was unable to secure bail and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prisons until Friday 18th February, 2022.
