The Rotary Club of Grenada has announced the anticipated return of its annual signature fundraiser event, Carols by Candlelight. The event will be held Sunday 4th December 2022 at Quarantine Point Recreational Park.
Once again, the Benoit family has partnered with the Rotary Club of Grenada to transform Quarantine Point Recreational Park into a magical Christmas wonderland and kick off the holiday season with its much-anticipated grand concert and caroling event.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the Club was not able to host its usual grand concert event for the past two years and instead opted for a significantly modified event with the park opening nightly and limited nightly admissions. Throughout the pandemic, the lit Park served as a safe outdoor space for families while also fostering the spirit of the holiday season encouraging families and friends to spend quality time together.
President of the Rotary Club Juan Bailey said, “The Club has been very limited in its activities over the last two years. We are excited to be able to host our major fundraiser which funds a number of the Clubs’ community projects.”
With the theme ‘An All-White Christmas’, patrons and supporters of the Carols by Candlelight event are expected to dress in white (with a hint of Christmas colour), and can look forward to seeing the park’s largest light display to date, and an outstanding concert produced by internationally renown writer, publisher and actor Ricardo Keens-Douglas and performances by Grenada’s top talents in the performing arts and entertainment field.
In the coming weeks, the Rotary Club will provide more information about Carols by Candlelight. Patrons are encouraged to follow the Rotary Club and Carols by Candlelight event pages for more information.
