The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited Grenada on Saturday as Their Royal Highnesses’ official Caribbean tour continued.
The Prince and The Duchess were welcomed to Grenada by Prime Minister Keith Mitchell and Governor General Dame Cécile La Grenade. Their Royal Highnesses received an official welcome ceremony before meeting guests during a reception and viewing exhibits showcasing local arts, crafts and spices.
The Prince planted a tree at the site of Grenada’s Old Government House to mark the Royal visit.
It was then on to the House of Chocolate to learn about the history of the cocoa industry in Grenada and a visit to the port to see examples of the various herbs and spices being sold on the island.
Finally, The Prince of Wales joined a round table meeting to discuss the Blue Economy and hear about potential solutions to issues threatening the Caribbean’s marine environment.
