Facing economic and other realities associated with livelihoods in view of COVID-19, President of the Grenada Senate, Chester Humphrey, today issued a call for what he labels “social solidarity”.
Most of the discussion in Senate proceedings centered on the approval for the extension of the country’s State of Emergency to 1st May 2022, and much talk about the need for citizens to protect themselves against the virus.
In this regard, the vaccination question took precedence, where there’s the considered view that it’s the way out of the crisis, in so far as Grenada’s need to return to some semblance of normalcy and reduce the impact of economic turbulence.
The Senate President identified that vaccination against COVID-19 is the way out of the crisis.
Senator Humphrey explains that the situation could be dire if the country fails to heed to the vaccination medical concept.
Senator Humphrey advises citizens to do the responsible thing and further redouble efforts in dealing with the corona virus.
