ICT IS PLAYING A KEY ROLE during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This pronouncement by ICT Ministry Permanent Secretary, Finley Jeffrey, He was addressing a recent virtual meeting of all Public Sector ICT Officers.
Jeffrey further stated that the digital economy will play an increasingly significant role as a driver of economic growth and social transformation, in the aftermath of the deadly pandemic.
Itโs been disclosed that a short to medium term ICT plan aimed at developing a new structure and governance arrangement for consolidating the Governmentโs ICT functions could be ready for Cabinet approval, within the last quarter of this year.
Continuing to consider Grenadaโs Health and safety in view of the pandemic, the Minister responsible for ICT, Pamela Moses, noted that given the protracted period of social distancing, her Ministry will be mandated to make a number of services offered by government accessible to the public online.
