Slow Vaccine Uptake Is Of Concern Says Grenada’s Acting CMO

Acting Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Shawn Charles, expresses concern over the slow rate of vaccine uptake, reiterating that being vaccinated is vital for the protection of individuals against the Coronavirus.

Dr. Charles was again present today at the Government’s regular weekly Post Cabinet Briefing, speaking to reporters on the need for vaccination to be increased, among other issues relative to COVID-19.

Dr. Charles commented on a recent study showing Grenada being surveyed among 6 Caribbean countries that are vaccine-hesitant.

According to the findings of the survey, the Ministry of Health is encouraging health care providers to be more engaged on the topic of vaccination with their clientele.
