Social Development Minister Calls For Breaking The Gender Bias

Grenada’s Social Development Minister Delma Thomas calls for unity to “break the bias” while protecting the nation’s women and girls.

Thomas’ call came on the occasion of International Women’s Day, celebrated March 8 every year.

Focusing on this year’s theme ‘Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow’, Minister Thomas says while confronting the hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic, women and girls continue to be impacted by societal ills.

Thomas says Government remains committed to collaborating with stakeholders to collectively address all areas of violence.
