Social Ministry Providing Care Giving Training

The social development Ministry is currently embarking on a training initiative for families and caregivers dealing with dementia patients and family members.

Social Development Minister, Delma Thomas, says this has become necessary since Dementia is fast becoming a social issue in Grenada.

Commending officials at the St. Martin De Pores institution for the inclusion of a care unit for residence suffering with Dementia, Thomas says her Ministry will remain committed to supporting such initiatives.

Thomas believes within the communities across the island citizens can make a difference lending support dealing with such aged ills.
