The Special Victims Unit (SVU) within the Royal Grenada Police Force is reporting a drop in sex crimes.

The unit was set up in 2017 to coordinate, monitor and provide guidance, as well as effective and timely response and investigations to all incidents involving special victims and to collaborate with other entities and stakeholders to provide special intervention and support to victims.

With the festive season heightening, the RGPF’s Special Victims’ Unit sends out a warning to individuals to be on their guard.

Speaking on their regular weekly programme on Wee Fm Kizzy-Ann Francis of the Special Victims’ makes note of the decrease in cases.

As it relates to one’s safety around the Christmas season, Francis outlined some useful tips that can be applied.
