The Ministry of Agriculture moves into full force with its spice replanting programme.

Several groups and individuals were engaged in the actual practical side of the campaign, which got off the ground yesterday.

Government officials were present at the Laura estate in St. David to participate in the programme.

Minister of State with responsibility for Agriculture, Adrian Thomas, says spices carry high value and indicated that the ministry will be working towards making the programme a reality.

The spices that were replanted yesterday included Nutmeg, Cocoa, Pimento, Cinnamon, Bois Bande, Bay Leaf (boisden), Clove, Black Pepper, Sapote and Tonka bean.
