The St. David Under-19 cricket team makes a clean sweep of the GCA Rightstart youth tournament.
Playing yesterday in the Sister Isles, The St. David team comprehensibly defeated Carriacou Under-19’s by eighty-eight runs.
The match was played at the Lauriston Mini Stadium.
Batting first, in a battle dubbed the RightStart GCA Sister Isle Under-19 Shield, St. David were bowled out for 173 in 41 of the allotted 50 overs.
Sharkim Edwards top-scored with 63; Teddy Bishop 38.
Bowling for Carriacou, Jaden Teka took 3 for 26 and
Karidon Samuel 3 for 35.
When Carriacou Under-19 replied, their batsmen had no answer to the spin of St. David’s Captain, Jeron Noel.
He took 6 wickets for 27 runs, helping to destroy Carriacou for 85 in total in just 20.3 overs.
