Organizers of the St. David’s Soca Monarch competition, the Virgin Parish Cultural Organization (VPCO), is preparing for the final this Saturday night.
14 contenders have registered to tackle Melvin ‘Mello’ Gordon for the title.
The participants are:- Gavon Alexander (Dr. Rownie), Kevon Alexander (Capone), Robbie Augustine (Robulus), Craig Calder and Devon Bartholomew (Vile and Arch Nemesis), Javon Cuffie (Brain), Anthony Ettienne (Grenada Michael Jackson), Kevon Francis (Blaze), Javon Hypolite (Pulka Dots), Nathan Jeremiah and Jermaine Jeremiah (SK Nate and SK Jay), Larry John (30 Gees), Sherwin Paul (Mr.Walkie), Markenson Rene (Dito), Ray Samuel (Soca Ray) and Kelvin Thomas (Reactor).
The show is scheduled to begin at 10pm at Marlmount Big Yard, St. David, Saturday night.
