The RightStart/Grenada Cricket Association (GCA) Inter-Parish Under-19 Tournament got off to a good start yesterday, with defending champions, St. David, taking first strike.
St. David beat St. Patrick by 44 runs.
Sent in to bat first, St. David posted 190 all out in 49.2 overs with Kimo Peters top-scoring on 38 runs.
Captain Teddy Bishop was also equal to the task with 34.
Sylvon Charles 4 for 30 and Rayvon Hitlall 4 for 34 were the pick of the St. Patrick bowlers…both with ten overs each.
In reply, St. Patrick were dismissed for 146.
Seandell Regis and Kimo Peters took 4 and 3 wickets respectively.
They created most of the problems for the St. Patrick batsmen.
The tournament continued today with St. Patrick playing St. Andrew.
