ST. JOHN FARMERS GIVE THEIR VIEWS ON THE WAY FORWARD FOR THE MNIB

The MNIB conversation was taken to St. John last evening, with farmers giving their input as to the way forward for the entity, which is reported to be in dire straits.

Prime Minister, Dickon Mitchell, outlined the current circumstances associated with the MNIB, indicating that it’s millions of dollars in the red.

It’s the second such consultation in two straight days, the first in St. Andrew Tuesday.

Prime Minister Mitchell tells the St. John audience that with the options on the table, there’s need to act quickly.

The overriding consensus in discussion last evening is for the survival of the MNIB.

Farmers believe it’s an avenue that can be beneficial.
