SOME THIRTY YOUNG PEOPLE IN St. John are said to be engaged in a fishing programme relating to marine conservation.

The initiative is funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF).

The training programme is being offered to young fishermen to enhance their knowledge and skills about the seas-faring trade.

Making his presentation at a meeting of the House of Representatives, Fisheries Minister, Alvin Da Breo, believes the programme is geared at bringing revenue to the fishing sector in the parish.
