Plans are reportedly underway for the drafting of the National Drug Policy Grenada 2024-2029.

REPORT:

The Drug Control Secretariat of the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Executive Secretariat of the Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission, will be hosting an in-person Stakeholders’ Consultation 2.0 next Tuesday and Wednesday at the Grenada Youth Centre Conference room.

The National Drug Policy Grenada is in alignment with the 2020 OAS Hemispheric Drug Strategy and accompanying Plan of Action (2021–2025).

On Tuesday, April 23, drug policy pillars, Drug Demand Reduction and Institutional Strengthening and International Cooperation, will be discussed, and on Wednesday, April 24, drug policy pillars, Drug Supply Reduction and Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation, will be the focus.

The event will be facilitated by Susan Alfonso, a research professional, and Camille Spencer, programme director of the Monitoring and Evaluation, National Transformation Unit, Ministry of Planning and Development, Republic of Trinidad, and Tobago.

The consultation begins 8:30 each day.
