The Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) announces that Mrs. Stacey Liburd has concluded her tenure as Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, effective July 22, 2026.
Mrs. Liburd assumed leadership of the Grenada Tourism Authority in June 2025 and during her tenure she held responsibility for the Authority’s executive management, destination marketing and stakeholder engagement functions for Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, in both established and emerging markets.
Reflecting on her tenure, Mrs. Liburd shared:
“Serving as Chief Executive Officer of the Grenada Tourism Authority has been one of the greatest privileges of my professional career. While my time in Grenada has been immensely rewarding, it has also come at considerable personal sacrifice and after much reflection I have made the difficult decision to return home and focus on my family.
I leave with immense pride in what we accomplished together in a relatively short period.
I am grateful to have contributed to the continued growth and global positioning of this remarkable destination.
My sincere thanks go to the dedicated staff of the Grenada Tourism Authority, the Ministry of Tourism, our industry partners, stakeholders and the people of Grenada for the warmth, collaboration and support extended to me throughout my tenure. The passion and commitment of those who serve this industry every day give me every confidence that Grenada’s tourism sector will continue to thrive.
I leave with cherished memories, lasting friendships and deep appreciation for the opportunity to serve this beautiful nation. It has truly been an honour, and I will continue to celebrate and support Grenada wherever my journey leads.”
The Board of Directors thanks Mrs. Liburd for her service and extends its best wishes for continued success in her future endeavours.
The Grenada Tourism Authority remains firmly committed to the promotion and development of Grenada’s tourism product and interim management arrangements have been put in place to ensure the continuation of the Authority’s mandate to strengthen the destination’s visibility and competitiveness.
