Wee FM continues keeping abreast with the movement of Tropical storm Bret.
Looking at the two o’clockcoordinates, Bret was centered near 13.0 degrees North and 52.5 degrees West or 408 nautical miles east of Barbados.
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1,001millibars.
Maximum sustained wind speed is 50 knot with gusts to 60.
Bret is expected to continue moving west for the next several days.
On the forecast track, the center of Bret is expected to move across portions of the Lesser Antilles tomorrow afternoon, as well as tomorrow night, and then move across the eastern Caribbean Sea Friday and Saturday.
Through Saturday, storm total rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches with maximum amounts of 10 inches are possible
across portions of the Lesser Antilles from Guadeloupe south to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, including Barbados.
The heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding, especially across areas of higher terrain.
Urban flooding is also possible.
The Government of St. Lucia has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for St. Lucia.
A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for Barbados, Dominica, and Martinique.
The system does not pose an immediate threat to the State of Grenada.
