Historian and Lecturer, Dr. Angus Martin, speaks of the need for Grenadians to know the countryโs history, since there are things that occurred in the past thatโs benefitting citizens today.
Dr. Martin made the point at a panel discussion at TAMCC this week which formed part of activities in celebration of the life and accomplishments of Theophilus Albert Marryshow.
Focusing on the theme, โReflecting on the ideals of T.A. Marryshow on the journey to 50 yearsโ, Dr. Martin rolled back the history to the 1920โs when T. A. Marryshow was active in political circles.
Dr. Martin noted that there were no elections.ย
The grandson of T. A. Marryshow, Ronnie Marryshow, said while money is known as an economic factor in the lives of many, his grandfather did a lot of pro- bono and charitable work, with him focusing on the interest of the country and its people.
