PR – The T. A. Marryshow Community College has officially announced its journey to Institutional Accreditation during a presentation ceremony during which the College received its registration certificate from the Grenada National Accreditation Board (GNAB).

The Certificate of Institutional Registration was presented by Permanent Secretary Kevin Andall,  Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Grenada National Accreditation Board to Principal, Dr.  Ronald Brunton. This was done in the presence of representatives from the College, GNAB, the  Ministry of Education and St. George’s University. In his remarks, Principal of the College, Dr.  Ronald Brunton highlighted the importance of accreditation and nurturing a culture of quality at  TAMCC.

“As principal, I am proud to declare that the Senior Management Team of the college is fully committed to strengthen the college, to better serve our students, and to enhance the quality of our curriculum to improve the student learning experience and to nurture an academic culture that is based on inquiry and critical thinking. It is in this context that the Senior Management Team is developing a new strategic direction for TAMCC. One that is aimed at ensuring that TAMCC is

an important part of nation-building. Key in making TAMCC an institution of choice is recognising  the benefits of internal and external quality assurance.”

Registration is the first step in the accreditation process. Accreditation is an independent evaluation of an institution’s conformity against recognized educational standards. It is a process that reflects an institution’s compliance and certified competence to offer quality teaching and learning according to its legal mandate and institutional mission.

Quality improvement through accreditation will lead to enhanced educational outcomes and give  TAMCC students regional and international advantages with the certificates and degrees awarded by the College.
