All tax payers with existing tax arrears owed to Inland Revenue Division (IRD) has up until December 31, 2023 to clear their bills.

That’s because the Ministry of Finance has implemented a one-year Tax Amnesty programme.

The Tax Amnesty will provide a 100% waiver on ALL interests and penalties to ALL taxpayers with existing tax arrears owed to the Division, up to December 31, 2021.

Deputy comptroller at the Inland Revenue Division (IRD), Randy Boyk Cadet, explains what the tax amnesty programme is all about, and the taxes that are covered under such.

Senior Tax Inspector with responsibility for tax collection and enforcement, Lorn Alexis, says all Grenadians who owe the government stand to benefit from the tax amnesty especially those who have incurred interest and penalties over the years.

He said taxpayers should be mindful that the principal must go down to zero to have the interest and penalties waivered.
