In light of recent events surrounding the outbreak of COVID-19 cases in the community, The Rotary Club of Grenada supports the efforts of the Government of Grenada and Ministry of Health as they conduct contact tracing and work towards minimising community spread of the virus.
As a result, the Club has made the socially responsible decision to temporarily suspend Christmas at the Point and close, with immediate effect, public access to Quarantine Point Recreational Park until Friday 18th December 2020.
Community safety has always been the highest priority in the Club’s decision to bring Christmas at the Point to the public in a COVID-safe and family friendly environment.
In close consultation with the public health authorities, the lit park will reopen this Friday 18th December at 5pm for viewing of the lights and our full team of COVID-safety personnel will be prepared to receive patrons.
Once reopened, the Club and park wardens will continue to exercise the extremely high standards of COVID-19 safety protocols that have been implemented and enforced since the park first opened on November 22nd.
Patrons who have purchased passes to Christmas at the Point for this upcoming week will be able to use their parking passes once the park has reopened on the weekend.
