The Ministry of Infrastructure, Public Utilities, Civil Aviation and Transportation wishes to inform the public of the temporary closure of Bathway Bridge, St.  Patrick, effective Monday, 20 July 2026, until further notice.

The closure has become necessary as the bridge has been severely compromised and poses a safety  risk to motorists and other road users. As a precautionary measure, the Ministry has taken the  decision to close the bridge to all traffic until further assessments can be conducted and appropriate  remedial actions are undertaken.

During this period, all vehicular traffic travelling to Bathway will be diverted through Rose Hill.  Motorists are advised to follow all posted traffic signs and directions. Please note that heavy trucks  will not be permitted to travel through Rose Hill to access Bathway.

The Ministry encourages all road users to exercise caution, adhere to traffic management measures,  and allow additional travel time when planning their journeys.

The Ministry of Infrastructure apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks the public for  its understanding and cooperation during this period.
