The Feative 2023 Grenada Carnival has come to an end, after days of hectic revelry.
It all came to a close with the last lap jump up throughout the country, which culminated at midnight.
The winners of the Carnival competitions are now left with the memories of their performances.
It all started off with the Carnival Queen Pageant which was won by Amonai Francis (Miss St. David).
Then, the Children’s Carnival Frolic with the Junior Calypso Monarch, Christian “Mothy” Niles; Junior Panorama Champs ( Republic Bank Angel Harps); Junior Band-of-the-Year, Peter Bain and Associates (Glimpse of the Deep); Junior Traditional Mas Band winner (House of Creation Vieux Corps); the Junior King of the Band from AJ and Associates (Fire and Ice) and the Junior Queen of the Band from Commancheros and Associates (the People Who Came).
The Calypso Monarch, Kelly Clyne (Rootsman Kelly), emerged victorious out of the Calypso competition; the Groovy Monarch (Jalon “Boyzie” Olive) and Soca Monarch (Terror D Governor).
The Panorama Champion is Nexa New Dimension.
The Traditional Mas Festival winner is House of Creation; the Traditional Short Knee Mas Band (Hermitage Short Knee); Other Traditional Mas Band (St. Patrick’s Apaches); and the Traditional Vieux Corps Mas Band (House of Creation).
The winner of Monday Night Mas was adjudged as Golden Mas Band and there was a tie for the Road March title between Robolous and Temptress, with their renditions “Farmer” and “Toot Too
Cecil “Peggy” Charles was the winner of the Ole mas.
