The police will be firm in its actions

The Royal Grenada Police Force is appealing to drivers involved in the strike action to refrain from causing obstruction to traffic and threatening or restricting passengers from boarding or traveling on the buses that are continuing to provide a service to the commuters.

The RGPF reminds bus drivers that, despite the current strike action taken by some members of the Grand Anse Bus Owners Association, all drivers have a responsibility to uphold the laws, rules and regulations governing the use of the nation’s road and by extension the laws of the land.

The police will be firm in its actions against those who are caught contravening the law.

Meanwhile, the RGPF is collaborating with the Transport Board and the Ministry of Works and Communications.  Earlier today, Tuesday, October 11, the three parties met, and pledged to work together to bring a speedy resolution to the existing situation. A meeting is pending with the Association to address their concerns in the most amicable and mutually beneficial way possible.
