PR – The Grenada Football Association (GFA) officially announces the successful close of its player transfer window ahead of the highly anticipated 2026/2027 football season.
This period of intense squad strengthening saw a total of 68 player transfers completed across 20 participating clubs. Highlighting the window was the movement of star player Sawan Mark from Hurricanes SC to St. John’s Sports Club. This transition has generated significant excitement among supporters and players alike as the league prepares for a highly competitive season.
The data highlights a dynamic shift in player movement across all tiers of Grenadian football:
Division 1 Clubs led the activity with 35 completed transfers.
Premier League Clubs followed closely with 31 completed transfers.
Division 2 Clubs finalized 2 transfers.
“The volume and quality of movement witnessed during this window underscore the growing ambition of our clubs,” said Carl Lee, General Secretary of the GFA. “As we look ahead to the 2026/2027 season, the strategic buying by our teams will assist in elevating the standard of play and provide fans with an exceptional season of football across all divisions.”
