For the second day running this week Grenada’s COVID report shows new confirmed cases in the triple-digit territory.

In our newscast yesterday, we told you that it was recorded at 177 out of tests done Tuesday.

The latest report shows that out of 723 tests conducted yesterday, 154 persons turned up positive, accounting for a positivity rate of 21.3%.

It brings the number of active cases to 620.

Total confirmed cases since the virus was first detected here two years ago are reported at 15,138.

There are no new deaths and as the latest report indicates there have been 69 new recoveries.

Still, 8 persons are being hospitalized, affected with the virus, 5 are moderately ill and 3, severely.

With vaccination being considered an essential ingredient towards the country-wide population revitalization, that figure is in the range of 38,220, 33.8% of the population having received two doses of vaccine.
