Two police officers, one male and a female, are currently hospitalized after being allegedly stabbed by an individual in the town of St. George. The incident occurred about 12:45 p.m. at Young Street, St. George’s.
REPORT:
Based on our research, the man who was shot this afternoon on Young Street was the father of the young man who was recently shot by police in Fontenoy.
And, like in a recent video, the man was shown making threatening statements, vowing revenge for his son.
The way it’s understood the situation happened this afternoon is that the female police officer had disembarked from a vehicle on her way to pay her license when the man bounced into her intentionally, she turned around and looked at him but he surprisingly charged her with a knife and in trying to fend him off she fell to the ground.
Reliable sources indicated that defenseless at the time, he then stabbed her five times…2 to her stomach, one in her back and 2 on her hand.
Another Police officer came to her assistance but he too sustained stab wounds from the assailant…1 to his chest, one on each leg and one on his right hand.
A third officer, we were told, tried to intercept but the man chased him with the knife, and that’s where the individual got shot.
Up to the time of this dispatch, we were reliably informed that the two officers are still being hospitalized…the female officer with stab wounds to her stomach is in a stable condition. Sheena Phillip-Lynch, Wee FM News.
