TWO REMANDED TO HIS MAJESTY’S PRISON FOLLOWING CAPITAL MURDER CHARGES IN TWO SEPARATE INCIDENTS

30-year-old Vincentian national Elton Elliston Andrew and 33-year-old Lyvon Date have been remanded to His Majesty’s prison in two separate incidents for Capital Murder.

Elton Elliston Andrew made his first court appearance this morning before magistrate Teddy St. Louis at the St. George’s No. 1 court under heavy armed security detail.

Andrew is charged with Capital Murder in connection with the, shooting death of Jonathan “NotNice” Richards of Gouyave, St. John.

On March 21, 28 year old Richards was shot multiple times in the gun Battle area in Gouyave, St John.

Andrew is set to make his next court appearance at the Gouyave Magistrate court April 24, 2023.

In another matter this morning 33-year-old Lyvon Date of Griffin Lane Grenville St. Andrew made his first court appearance in connection with the death of Canadian citizen Wayne Smart.

Smart, a Canadian Citizen, who had been residing in Grenada, was reported missing December 2022, a police investigation was launched and had been ongoing.

Date was charged with capital murder after leading police to an area on the beach front at River Sallee, St. Patrick where the police recovered what appeared to be burnt human remains, believed to be that of Mr. Smart.

Date will make his next court appearance at the Sauteurs magistrate’s court April 25th 2023.
