The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) has sent out notice advising students and teachers of the amended and revised Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) syllabuses for selected subjects for which teaching starts in September this year.
The release noted that teachers and students preparing for examinations in the subject areas should become familiar with the syllabuses for the new school term.
Institutions offering the subjects should make note of the effective dates of the first examinations and be guided accordingly.
The revised areas in CAPE are Accounting, Animation and Game Design, Entrepreneurship, Financial Services Studies, Integrated Mathematics, Literatures in English, Management of Business and Social Studies.
The Amended area in CAPE is Physical Education and Sports while the amended areas in CSEC are Caribbean History and Office Administration.
