The Empowerment Of Grenada’s young people is reportedly being seen as key to the continued development of the country, one of the main reasons for the introduction of the USAID-funded Youth Resilience, Inclusion, and Empowerment (Y-RIE) Programme.
The Ministry of Education is said to be collaborating with USAID for the implementation of the Y-RIE Programme, which has a life-span of five years, as we hear from Manager, Johnny Calliste.
The programme which is primarily aimed at empowering and equipping young people with attributes to achieve their full potential is into its second year.
Calliste sees it within the scope of developing well-rounded individuals.
Calliste says the Y-RIE programme is expansive and also includes a parenting component.
