The Vector Control Division of the Ministry of Health is calling for public cooperation as it continues fogging operations in the South of the island.
REPORT:
This phase of fogging the Ministry says will target areas of suspected and confirmed dengue cases to reduce the incidence of Dengue Fever currently on the rise.
The ministry of Health is urging individuals to cooperate with the fogging team by opening their homes to allow fog to enter.
Today fogging will be conducted at Mt. Hartman and environs, including Grand Anse Valley.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 4, Café Beau and environs, including Fenton Village and surrounding areas, Wednesday, May 5, Gulf Course and environs.
Fogging continues Thursday 6th May at Jean Anglais and surrounding areas, including part of Belmont and Friday fogging operations will be concentrated solely in the Belmont area.7th May at Belmont.
The fogging exercise has already begun today.
The vector division says all fogging commences 5 in the afternoon,
Individuals with respiratory difficulties are asked to stay away from the fog or inform the team of such conditions.
Bee-keepers are also asked to inform the team of any bee- keeping activities in the areas to be fogged by contacting 440-2095.
