Veteran Broadcaster And Radio Station Proprietor, Paul Roberts, wants to see a more broad-based media organization that also takes into account owners of radio stations to help effect a transformation of the media landscape in Grenada.

He’s off the feeling that the media fraternity here has lost its way, especially when it comes to the shaping of society.

Wee FM News did have conversation with him on World Press Freedom Day earlier this month and he was very critical of the media landscape and the direction it has taken.

He said he has long been clamouring for the Media Workers Association of Grenada to include broadcast entity owners into its charter, so as to get better representation for the sake of the development of the media fraternity.

Paul Roberts has had a lot to say on this score, even holding conversation with past Presidents on the matter, and that there’s no policy as it relates to the media helping Grenada to move forward.

Paul Roberts says being able to get a handle on the nature of content on the airwaves doesn’t start with officialdom, but the responsibility rests with how well MWAG encourages practitioners to be trained from time-to-time, especially as it concerns the changing landscape.
