Today is the 9th consecutive day Grenada has been recording high temperatures, classified by the MBIA meteorological office as a “heat wave”.

It’s been in the region of over 31.7 Degrees Celsius.

The persistent heat is said to have been attracting an uncomfortable feeling and Grenadians have been speaking out.

Today’s temperature recorded at midday was 32 degrees Celsius and the met office says it’s expected to continue throughout the week.

The met office has put out a notice advising citizens how to cope with the high weather temperatures by staying hydrated, cutting back on alcoholic consumption, avoiding closed spaces, dress appropriately and look after the young, pets and the elderly.
