The Police have sent out a report indicating that a 30-year-old woman has found herself in problems with the law.
Lindy Passee, an Administrative Secretary of Gouyave Estate, St. John, was arrested and charged by officers attached to the Financial Intelligent Unit (FIU).
The report noted offenses of Money Laundering and Stealing cash in the sum of 13,039 EC dollars from a Church.
The offenses were allegedly committed between 21st December 2021 and the 13th of this month.
Passee was granted bail in the amount of fifteen thousand dollars with one surety and is due to appear at the Victoria Magistrate’s Court on 5th July 2022.
Information has reached us that there was a robbery at a shop in the Mt. Carmel area, St. Andrew, earlier this week, somewhere around 9 nighttime.
Police have been investigating what’s said to have been a stick-up at gun-point.
The robber is said to have escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash.
The Police say two persons were pulled in for questioning but have since been released.
The investigation is continuing.
