Work has begun, designed to address working conditions at the Government printery.

An assessment of the building was completed late last year and both interim and long-term solutions have been identified to resolve issues with the building.

A team from the Ministry of Infrastructure Development, and union leaders toured the building to come to an amicable solution.

The immediate recommended course of action is to build-up the roof to alleviate the leaking that occurs when it rains.

This morning work commenced on the building and PWU President, Brian Grimes, says he’s pleased with the developments.

Manager at the Government Printery, Christopher Cornwall, says they’re happy that work has begun on the building, indicating that they’ll be better able to serve their customers.
