Grenadians in the field of photography joined their counterparts around the globe in observing “World Photography Day”, an occasion that’s recognized on this day every year, bringing to light the value of the profession in this regard, the skills and artistry at the hands of those who man the craft.
The day also lays emphasis on the importance of cameras and photography as it relates to documenting memorable lifetime events.
The word photography stems from the Greek word “phos” an indication of light, a key dimension in the survivability of mankind.
This year, focus is laid on “Transcending the Boundaries of Language”, where photography is coined as a medium of universal value, but in this time, being affected by the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic.
