On World Red Cross Day tomorrow, Frontline workers in the fight against COVID-19 will be called upon to take a “bow”.

The Red Cross movement here describes their efforts in the circumstances as “relentless”.

Members of the movement here will join their counterparts the World over tomorrow in observing World Red Cross Day, which goes under the theme, “Unstoppable”.

World Red Cross day is geared at celebrating its Founder, Henry Dunant, and highlighting the work of the movement, which volunteers its services for the sake of humanity.

Highlighting the theme for the World Red Cross Day observance, President of the movement here, Samantha Dickson, says emphasis will be placed on alleviating humanity’s suffering, enhancing their dignity and protecting their lives from emergencies and natural disasters.

In keeping with its fundamental principles, this year’s observance is surrounded by a number of activities.

Activities will conclude with a number of representatives attending various church services across the island next weekend.
