PR – We congratulate the schools moving forward in the 2026 Grenlec Debates, as the competition enters the Round of Sixteen.
The next round will see students tackle the theme “Transportation,” exploring issues related to vehicle ownership, road safety and use, enforcement, and public transport. The theme brings everyday issues into focus, challenging students to consider different perspectives and build well-reasoned arguments.
For Grenlec, having young people step forward to find confidence in their ideas and recognise that their perspectives have value remains an important part of the Debates. Every student who takes part brings something of their own and learns from the experience. We are proud to provide a space where their voices can be heard, challenged and strengthened.
Grenlec recognises every student, coach and school participating in the 2026 Season.
Broadcast of the 2026 Grenlec Debates Season has begun with highlights of the preliminary round on television. Viewers can also follow the action throughout the season on Grenlec’s YouTube channel.
