CARIFTA Team Introduction

PR – Grenada will once again be proudly represented on the regional stage as Triathlon  Grenada announces its team for the 8th CARIFTA Triathlon, Aquathlon and  Mixed Team Relay Championships, taking place in Bermuda from 22–26 October 2026.

Following last year’s outstanding performance in Tobago—where Grenada secured two gold medals, one silver, and one bronze—the association is aiming for another strong showing.

This year’s national team features athletes with deep roots in sport, many of whom come from strong swimming, athletics, and multisport backgrounds.

Athlete Bios  

Eithan Chu Fook (Age 13–14) 

Eithan is one of Grenada’s most experienced junior multisport athletes, with an impressive record across regional swimming and aquatics competitions. He has represented Grenada at OECS Swimming (2022–2025), Goodwill 2024, CARIFTA  Aquatics and Aquathlon 2025, CARIFTA Aquatics 2026 (pool & open water), and the  2026 PANAM Aquatics Championships.

Ethan William Clermont (Age 11–12) 

Ethan brings a strong swimming foundation to the team, having represented  Grenada at OECS Swimming from 2023–2025. He also competed at the Goodwill  Swimming Championships from 2023–2026, showing steady development across all disciplines.

Mateo Thomas (Age 11–12) 

Mateo is a versatile young athlete with consistent performances at OECS Swimming from 2022–2025 and Goodwill Swimming from 2024–2026. He made his CARIFTA  Triathlon debut in Trinidad & Tobago in 2025 and returns stronger this season.

Carvon James (Age 15–16) 

Carvon is a powerful runner and emerging triathlete who has represented Grenada at School Athletics Nationals from 2022–2024. He also competed at Rainbow Cup  Tobago 2025 and the CARIFTA Triathlon & Aquathlon Championships in Barbados  (2024) and Tobago (2025).

Payton De Freitas (Age 13–14) 

Payton enters CARIFTA Triathlon with a strong swimming background, recently representing Grenada at the 2026 Goodwill Swimming Championships. Bermuda will mark her first appearance at the CARIFTA Triathlon and Aquathlon Championships.

Eliza-Rose Benjamin (Age 15–16) 

Eliza-Rose is a dual-talent athlete with experience in both track & field and swimming, competing at Whitsuntide Games, Intercol, and OECS Swimming from  2021–2025. She represented Grenada at CARIFTA Aquatics in The Bahamas in  2024, and Bermuda will be her first CARIFTA Triathlon and Aquathlon appearance.

Kaleb Williams (Age 17–21) 

Kaleb brings a strong athletics and swimming background, having represented  Grenada at OECS Swimming 2024 – 2025 and CARIFTA Swimming  Championships. He competed in the St Lucia RHAC Meet 2026 as well as Goodwill  Championships. He represented in the Intercol Games 2024 – 2026

He will make his CARIFTA Triathlon and Aquathlon debut in Bermuda. Tyrese Braveboy (Age 13–14) 

Tyrese is a determined young athlete with a solid foundation in athletics and swimming. Bermuda will be his first CARIFTA Triathlon and Aquathlon  Championships appearance.

Team Staff 

Coach Troy Felix 

Coach Troy brings extensive experience in cycling numerous times at regional and international events. He holds Level 2 certifications in both and triathlon, having represented Grenada triathlon and cycling and is a former national champion in both disciplines.

Team Manager & Triathlon Grenada President – Nicola Mulholland 

Nicola holds a World Triathlon Certificate in Coaching Female Triathletes and will be managing her fifth CARIFTA delegation. Her experience, athlete-focused approach,  and deep understanding of junior development make her an essential part of the team’s success.
