GHTA Expands Men’s Health Support With Free PSA Screening Programme For 100 Men

PR – The Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association (GHTA) is continuing its commitment to the wellbeing of the tourism community with the return of its Free  Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Screening Programme, being offered throughout  September in recognition of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.

Through its Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF), GHTA is partnering with Allied Medical  Laboratory to make PSA screening available at no cost to 100 men aged 40 and older  across Grenada.

The programme runs from September 1–30, 2026, with screening available at Allied  Medical Laboratory clinics across Grenada.

Pre-registration is required, and spaces are limited to the first 100 eligible men. GHTA is  therefore encouraging eligible men, particularly those working across Grenada’s tourism  and hospitality sector, to take advantage of this opportunity and register early.

A simple step towards taking charge of your health

Prostate health is an important part of men’s overall wellbeing, and regular screening can  be an important tool in identifying potential concerns that may require further medical  attention.

For GHTA, the initiative is about making health and wellness support more accessible to  the people who contribute every day to Grenada’s tourism industry.

GHTA Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Arlene Friday, said:

“The strength of our tourism industry is rooted in the people who work tirelessly to serve  our visitors and represent Grenada. Supporting their wellbeing is therefore an important  part of building a strong and sustainable tourism sector. Through our Tourism  Enhancement Fund, we are pleased to continue providing initiatives that extend beyond  the traditional boundaries of tourism and create meaningful benefits for our members  and the wider community.”

She added that GHTA is encouraging eligible men to make their health a priority and take  advantage of the opportunity while spaces remain available.
